Plato's TESTIMONY: Super Vitamins Plus and My Special Feed Mix (his hives are no more).

Plato is doing fine. He has not had an outbreak of hives since he finally got over
it after being on the grain mix and using the super vit. plus. He is still gets his mix and loves it.

Dolly thought at first Plato had some kind of rain rot. But in talking with her I believed it was hives. I suggested she switch to my feed mix,
and put him on one or two rounds of ABC Super Vitamins Plus 21 day. We also talked about what she was using for worm/parasite control
and vaccinations.

Thank you. Here is a couple pictures of my horse. The one is when he was two and the other is when he is broke out real bad.
I sprayed him with the bleach and water yesterday and today would of been shot day but he wasn't broke out like usual so I just sprayed him again. :-)

Hi Vickie,

I sprayed Plato with the bleach/water mix yesterday two more times and it is not taking care of the problem so I gave him a shot of Dex this morning. As soon as the weather is a little warmer I will bathe him with the iodine shampoo. I have ordered bulk garlic. Thanks for the compliment on my horse. He is a beautiful animal but then I may be a little prejudice. :-)

Hi Vicki,

I got my garlic and the super vit. plus yesterday and started him on the vit. yesterday. Should I start the garlic too or wait until the vits. are done? I was able to go an extra day on the dex. shot and had to give him one this morning but they weren't nearly as bad as they usually are by the second day. I had given him one Monday evening and when we got back Wednesday evening from a funeral after being gone two days(it was in the upper peninsula of Mi.) he hadn't started to break out yet until this morning. I'm hoping that the flax seed I have been giving him is starting to help too. He has been on that for two weeks today. Take care and I will talk to you later.

Hi Vickie,

Plato is still having problems with his "bumps" I gave him an iodine bath a week ago Monday, that seem to have slowed his outbreaks down so he is getting a shot every three to four days instead of every other day now. When it warms back up again, I will give him another bath. Or maybe it is the super vits. plus he is on. He likes his mixture of BP pellets, oats, flax, garlic, vinegar and I am using Cocosoya instead of corn oil because I had 4 gals. of a 5 gal. jug left yet. I read once where it said that corn oil isn't that good for them because it is high in omega 6 oils instead of omega 3 so I quit using it a long time ago. But then so is Cocosoya high in omega 6 except it has some other real good things in it and taste good too. I looked at the Equine-Zyme plus and that is quite pricey. The Equine-Zyme with out the BG is alot cheaper and still has what I think he might need. What do you think?

Hi Vickie,

The weather is warming up so I will be giving Plato another bath with the iodine shampoo. He is back to a shot every other day so apparently the super-vit plus is not helping and it was the shampoo that did. So I am sure like before that it is a bacterial problem and not an allergic reaction since in the past it was the shampoo that helped. I am ordering the detox anyway and am still giving the super-vit. plus. Take care and God bless.

Hi Vickie,

I haven't e-mailed you in quite some time and wanted to let you know how things are going with Plato. HE HASN'T HAD A SHOT IN 2 WEEKS!!!!! The last two times before that, when he started to break out it was not nearly as bad before that. I "didn't" give him that iodine bath either so apparently the super vit. plus and garlic finally took hold!! I still am giving him a little of the vit. plus. I didn't start him on the detox because I wanted to stay with the vit. plus to see if that would take care of it since the outbreaks were getting less severe. Sould I keep him on the vit. plus? I am a little afraid to stop for the time being.

Thanks for the info. I will keep him on the Super vit. plus and start the detrox after we get back from vacation. We are leaving on the 26th. for two weeks of fishing in the U.P. I don't want to put him on the detox because my daughter (who also has horses) will be taking care of him and I don't want him to break out while I am gone. I also was able to get the stablized rice a couple weeks ago and he likes the mixture much better with that in it. I guess I had better mark down when I gave him his last shot. :-) Talk to you later and God bless.

I haven't been in touch in quite some time so I thought I had better give you an update on Plato. He is still bump free and hasn't had an outbreak since the last time

I'm so happy that I was put in touch with you and that my buddies problem has not been a problem for quite some time now. I have also put my daughters 3 yr. old paint on the mix too. I brought him here to work with him while she recovers from a bad foot injury. He is so hard to get weight on and just was so growthy in height. He has been here for 3 weeks now and I am starting to notice a weight gain. Plato on the other hand does not need the weight but he is pretty beefy!!! He has always been an easy keeper anyway. Maybe I should cut him back on the coca-soya. :-) Oh well, he does not mind being fat and happy!!! Take care and God bless and again thanks.
