Herbs are designed to work in a truly holistic way.
The body is treated as a whole, using herbs which, through a variety of actions, will strengthen and support the horse's physiological Systems, enabling it to "heal itself'.
Herbs are a gentle therapy, and as such, will take 3-4 weeks to be absorbed into the system and have a beneficial effect. Often, once the herbs have been used for a month the dosage can be reduced to a maintenance level.
Herbs can be used safely in conjunction with conventional medicines.

Glossary of Herbs
Black Cohosh - This herb is helpful for the relief of menstrual cramps and symptoms
of menopause. It is a natural supplier of estrogen with clinical studies showing that extracts of black cohosh
not only relieve hot flashes, but also depression and vaginal atrophy as related to women.
Mares will experience similiar difficulties as women do.
Valerian Root - This
perennial plant has long been used to help with insomnia, stress and anxiety. Specific uses include use for migraine
headaches, fatigue, intestinal cramps, and nervous conditions. Pharmacological effects of Valerian extract indicate
that it acts as a sedative in states of agitation and as a stimulant in cases of extreme fatigue.
Chamomile-(Matricaria Chamomilla) is a natural
relaxant that helps soothe the nerves, insomnia, anxiety, skin irritations, arthritis, menstrual cramps, gastrointestinal
upset. ...Chamomile Tea, is an old-fashioned but extremely efficacious remedy for hysterical and nervous affections
in women and is used also as an emmenagogue. It has a wonderfully soothing, sedative and absolutely harmless effect.
Blue Vervain- The
leaves and roots of Blue Vervain are a valuable alternative medicine used as an abortifacient, antidiarrheal, analgesic,
anthelmintic, antiperiodic, astringent, diaphoretic, emetic, expectorant, sedative, tonic, vermifuge, vulnerary.
It is useful in intermittent fevers, ulcers, pleurisy, scrofula, gravel, easing pain in the bowels and expelling
worms. A very strong infusion is emetic. As a medicinal poultice it is good in headache and rheumatism. An infusion
of the plant is a good galactagogue (increases breast milk) and used for female obstructions, afterpains and taken
as a female tonic.
Hops - ---Medicinal Action and Uses---Hops have tonic, nervine, diuretic and anodyne
properties. Their volatile oil produces sedative and soporific effects, and the Lupamaric acid or bitter principle
is stomachic and tonic. For this reason Hops improve the appetite and promote sleep.
Wood Betony - ---Medicinal Action and Uses---Betony was once the sovereign remedy for
all maladies of the head, and its properties as a nervine and tonic are still acknowledged, though it is more frequently
employed in combination with other nervines than alone. It is useful in hysteria, palpitations pain in the head
and face, neuralgia and all nervous affections. In the Medicina Britannica (1666) we read: 'I have known the most
obstinate headaches cured by daily breakfasting for a month or six weeks on a decoction of Betony made with new
milk and strained.'
Passion Flower - Passion Flower is used for nervous restlessness, anxiety, insomnia,
depression, alcoholismand headaches. Passionflower's gentle sedative properties produce a relaxing effect, reducing
nervous over-activity and panic, and making it a mild and non-addictive herbal tranquilizer. It is an effective
calmant; its effects are primarily on the nervous system.
Passion Flower, whose genus name is passiflora, is a naturally grown medicinal herb,
approved by the German Commission E in the treatment of insomnia and nervousness. It is also used as a sedative
in nervous disorders (including gastrointestinal complaints of nervous origin), difficulties in sleeping, and anxiety
or restlessness. Passion Flower reduces spasms and depresses the central nervous system.
Anti-anxiety:
Passion flower has a tranquilizing effect, including mild sedative and anti-anxiety effects. In studies conducted
since the 1930's, its mode of action has been found to be different than that of most sedative drugs (sleeping
pills), thus making it a non-addictive herb to promote relaxation.
Insomnia:
The sedative effect of Passion flower has made it popular for treating a variety of ailments, including nervousness
and insomnia. Research had indicated that passion flower has a complex activity on the central nervous system (CNS),
which is responsible for its overall tranquilizing effects. Also, it apparently has an antispasmodic effect on
smooth muscles within the body, including the digestive system, promoting digestion.
Wild Lettuce - Biological Name: Lactuca virosa Compositae
Other Names: Wild Lettuce, Lettuce Opium
Biological Name: Lactuca virosa Compositae
Other Names: Wild Lettuce, Lettuce Opium
Often used as a substitute for opium, Lactuca virosa does not match the power of opium nor does it upset the stomach
like opium does. Commonly used as a mild sedative or hypnotic for insomnia and relaxation, it is also used for
coughing, nervousness and pain relief associated with women's ailments. The greens are sometimes used in salads.
Many experimenters find this herb has some psychoactive properties. It is a common ingredient found in many herbal
alternative smoking blends.

Testomonials
RELAX BLEND ™ - Equine Health Supplement
"I am training one of the best five-gaited gelding in the world. However, he is so hot and game that his nerves
get the best of him and tend to mess up his performances. I started using the Relax and saw immediate results.
Relax used in conjunction with the Mellow Out seems to put his nerves back in order and lower his mental stress
level. This is allowing him to think better without taking away any of his ambition or drive."
Byers, Premier Stables, Simpsonville, KY
"We had a great experience with your Relax Blend product. A young TB/Paint horse we have recently developed
anhydrosis in the 100 degree heat/humidity, he could not sweat and would become extremely overheated. We had taken
him off of his Relax supplement at the time, and we realized that we should put him back on it immediately. The
Valerian helps soothe his nerves, and the hops actually help him sweat!"

RELAXHER BLEND ™ - Equine Health Supplement
"My 14 yr. old Polish Arabian mare, Sapphire, use to be spooky while being ridden and extremely herd bound.
While she was in her stall, if just one horse left the barn, she would begin to pace and whinny, sometimes she'd
even work herself into a sweat. She would do the same thing in the pasture if all of the other horses we taken
out of it, even if there were horses in the pasture right next to hers. I tried different training recommendations,
and nothing worked. I was at my wits end, then decided to try a supplement. At first I tried a vitamin calming
supplement, with no luck. I found your Relax Blend and decided to give that a chance. At this point I was seriously
thinking that I may have to sell her if this product didn't work. After a month of giving her half a scoop in the
morning, and half at night we noticed a difference.
She was on the Relax Blend for 2 to 3 months, and about a month ago I switched her over to your RelaxHer Blend,
mainly due to the fact that it is specifically made for mares. With the help of your product, Sapphire doesn't
spook at all while I am riding her, she has also stopped over-jumping (she has always gone over a jump almost 2
times higher than needed, until I started her on your product!).
Not to mention the fact that she actually seems to enjoy the taste of the RelaxHer Blend! I'm so happy to see the
drastic improvements that I have, and as long as I own Sapphire I will always keep her on the RelaxHer Blend."
Shannen Wandell, Athens PA
"RelaxHer Blend helps to settle and take the edge off the mares. I find it makes them easier to deal with
in general and they are much quieter in the barn."
Derek Sturniolo
"I normally have a happy, well adjusted 17 year old QH mare, Miss Piggy. My 8 year old son was unable to ride
her and as her heat cycle went on neither was I without 'arguing' with her about how much more fun a ride could
be. I did not want to resort to hormonal therapy, why would I want to give her a product I need to wear gloves
to administer? I searched on the web for a holistic alternative and found RelaxHer. Well, I tell you our mare became
the Lovely Lady we all know and love within just a few days. No complaints about taste which was also helpful;
doctoring up meals can be a challenge. My son and I are now riding a safe, happy natural, barefoot, treeless and
bitless horse out on the trails. We thank you for keeping her safe, happy and usable."
Jeannean, Anthony & Miss Piggy Mercuri
"I though you would appreciate a progress report on how my mare is doing since she has been on your products.
After consulting with you, I put my mare on the following products: RelaxHer, and approximately 2 weeks later added
Lighten-up/Tone Down and Angel of Mercy Flower Essences. I would say I saw results of the RelaxHer within a week
or so. Her demeanor was better, but she still had some issues. The flower essences seemed to work almost immediately!
She gained her weight back, she responded to training, and now the staff turns her out and calls her a "sweetie"
(remember they refused to put her out because she was too difficult to handle)! She is so proud of herself now!
You should see her in our lessons; she is so relaxed and satisfied with herself. I can't say enough about the products
and the advice that you gave me. I will most certainly (and have already done so) recommend your products to anyone
that has any type of issue with their pet!"
Tara Manion
"Just wanted to update you on my Poeta since I have been giving him the RelaxHer, and the two flower essences
(Ego Builder and Angel of Mercy). He is a horse transformed. I have ridden him only a total of 5 times, the first
2 before any supplements, and the difference between how he WAS to how he is NOW is unbelievable. Our last ride
was outside of the ring, something I did not believe would be possible for a long time. We did an hour trail ride
up the road, with another horse, and without, on the way home, and he was totally quiet and relaxed. I KNOW it
has to be the herbs and essences that are making the difference, and I am very grateful to you for all your help!
I am truly a believer in your products! Poeta thanks you for helping him see he can just be 'a horse'."
Joy Lapso
"Oh My Lassie was a nervous mare and a poor eater. She was put on daily allowances of RelaxHer. She has gained
and maintained good flesh and exhibits no signs of nervousness or insecurity. She is now a very confident equine
athlete"
